The beginning of the CoverGirl commercial immediately catches your attention. The first thing you see is country singer Taylor Swift. Having Taylor Swift as the face of the commercial attracts an audience of all ages. Throughout the commercial Taylor advertises how CoverGirl is a very light weight makeup, that it gives off a natural look. The entire time the commercial keeps your attention due to the advertiser and the catchy jingle in the background.
The beginning of the Maybelline commercial is not very catchy. The voice over in the beginning is women, but turns into a gentleman who has a monotone voice. The way that the company chose to advertise the product does not catch your attention. Throughout the commercial, the camera zooms in on the actresses face many times. The company also did not choose a great setting for the commercial. The Maybelline makeup is also being advertised as a lightweight and natural looking makeup just like the CoverGirl.
